We were there with a large group - they happily rearranged tables and reset them so we could have a gift area. We were seated in a private area for our exuberant and boisterous crowd. Jesus was our lead waiter - he took outstanding care of all 30 of us. I'm a bit high need and he made sure I had limes for my tea :) As usual for a Brazilian Steak house the salad bar was fresh and tasty. Jesus even warned the Newbies to take it easy on the salad bar for they had room for all the meat choices. There were plenty of beef choices and chicken. Took a bit longer to get the lamb chops and shrimp delivered. We even had a small desert delivered when everyone turned their card to red. Full bar with nice wine list. I can easily see us returning for a quiet intimate and yes romantic dinner soon.

This is the experience we had with Galpão Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse on 2318 N Loop 1604. This is an overdue review since we have visited this place a few times. Though there was a glitch on our online reservation where I got text reminders of our reservation, the hostess was not able to locate our reservation (should definitely fix that as it can be frustrating), we have another amazing experience after they seated us promptly. Located right next to the N Loop 1604 W, it is located in the plaza right next to the Heritage Oaks Office Park and Stewart Title Company. Not too difficult to find. We're always able to find parking at their large outdoor parking lot. We were celebrating our mother's 75th birthday and our uncle's 50th year wedding anniversary. We were well served by Jorge and Carlos Torres. They were extremely attentive, friendly and recognized our special celebration event. The food was amazing; picanha, filet, prime rib, beef ribs, shrimp were excellently prepared and warm. The salad bar had great variety. The Carajillo performance was amazing! Because of the great service by Jorge & Carlos Torres, as well as the great food, we will definitely come back again. Keep up the good work Galpao Gaucho, Jorge and Carlos!

Don't let the 4 stars confuse you... this will be a raving review about some of the best staff that I have ever experienced at a restaurant in my life. From the moment we were greeted at the door until the moment an owner thanked us for our business when we left... the service & atmosphere was 5 stars & absolutely stellar! My friends & I sat at the bar for a little while to grab some great drink specials! Only $7 for my favorite Brazilian drink. The Caipirinha made w coconut.... Omgosh, Jesus aka "Crispy" made the best Caipirinha's I have ever had! I'm not the person who orders alcoholic beverages at restaurants. However, this is just my favorite Brazilian drink. So, for me to say this was the best one I have ever had.... That means something! Crispy really puts extra "love" in every drink he makes! He went above & beyond to make a drink for my friends that they loved. The traditional cocktail of Brazil: Caipirinha : Fresh lime, sugar, and cachaça - muddled, shaken, and served on the rocks. The food was great & plentiful. It did take a long while for the lamb chops to arrive. Once they did, my friends were full but I had one. It was good. We never had any lamb shank but I'm not sure if they have it here. I thought they did but it never arrived when we requested it. The cheese bread was on phenomenal. Our fantastic servers kept it coming for us aka me! I was disappointed by the salad bar bc the meat & cheese tray area was small, the meat wasn't cold enough & the cheese was visibly sweating. Other than that, the food was all amazing.

This is my absolute favorite Brazilian steakhouse location in San Antonio. It's smaller, more intimate, quiet, and romantic. As with any Brazilian steakhouse, the service is excellent. Their spread is always fresh and delicious, with the occasional variants. It is just slightly less expensive (within a few dollars) and my go-to spot. Please check out this smaller location for a date night or even a family lunch. I take my kiddos late afternoon/early evening so we don't interrupt the romance, but I've never had an unpleasant experience here. When you spend a certain amount, there's a quality level you expect. And this hits the mark for me. No long lines or loud people.

I came here with a friend on Tuesday for Restaurant Week. It really is a good deal if you're able to make it during this time! I enjoyed the salad bar, probably more than I should have as I didn't have much of an appetite for the meats. The chicken, beef and shrimp were good but I feel like they could've used more seasoning. The same for the chimichurri sauce. The service and ambiance were wonderful. It was smaller than other Brazilian Steakhouses that I've been to but just as classy.

I want to stress that the service gets 5 stars. Jesus (a.k.a Crispy) provided such an amazing experience to our party. Everything from making our own pitcher of sweet tea, since they typically don't have it on the menu, to making a traditional specialty drink he made that is meant for after your meal. Highly recommend seeking him out when you visit Galpoa Gaucho. The top shelf drinks were very refreshing as well. Our party usually enjoys one adult beverage but it was made so well by Crispy that a second round was ordered. Okay maybe three rounds. Nice ambiance with the low lighting and the several enclosed rooms makes it a very intimate experience for any party size without the noise distraction you may get with an open dining space. The food was average compared to other Brazilian Steakhouses yet still satisfying. The personable service was the high point for us. If you like lamb meat, ask for a side of mint jelly. Your palates will enjoy the pairing of the two.

What a great place everything was delicious! People very nice and friendly. I was aiming to make it rain at this place but i got full way too quick. Dinner beers and shits fir 2 came out to $180 and i added $50 tip. Now you might think that is a high price for dinner, but let me tell you this, I've had paid over $300 for a steak that was not nearly as good as this place. Plus the shots we took were top shelf tequilas and there were $40. I chit you not, you want to eat here.

I enjoyed my time here. The service was phenomenal and we were well taken care of. As for the food, it's less expensive than other Brazilian steakhouses but some of the meats lacked flavor. The filet mignon wrapped with bacon was so dry but the other meats made up for it. The sides they give you are also decent but the cheesy bread was to die for!!!
